__ The Seven Peaks Park project aims to connect all existing parks and public green areas in Baku, Azerbaijan, establishing itself as the core of this interconnected green space network. In collaboration with Gerber Architects, SRLA developed a landscape concept that reflects the Azerbaijani mountains while respecting and integrating the existing vegetation into the new masterplan.

Throughout the design process, connectivity has been a primary focus for the design team. This approach ensured that every public open space within the scheme is fully accessible, usable, and available to all. SRLA has meticulously created landscape zones with ample seating and integrated mounds and basins, offering extensive play and event opportunities while balancing areas of connection and privacy. The vegetation concept for the park aims to enhance biodiversity net gain through additional tree planting to promote carbon sequestration, the use of native trees and shrubs, and the implementation of SUDs systems such as green roofs and surface attenuation.

__ The entire park is encircled by a green buffer that filters noise pollution from surrounding roads and an integrated path system allows users to experience a 'wild' environment in the heart of the city.

The concept for this project draws inspiration from a river born in the mountains, carving streams through the landscape into a valley. As Azerbaijan's geography is dominated by the Greater Caucasus in the north and the Lesser Caucasus in the south, this results in a diverse set of vegetation across the country. The lower slopes feature rich deciduous forests, while the higher elevations are characterized by pine forests, glaciers, and open areas at the highest altitudes which has been reflected in the planting design for this project.
