__ A unique and contemporary landscape and public realm allowing visitors to experience true “wildness”, taking the Arabian Peninsula back to the Paleolithic period when it was thought to have been naturally verdant.
Drawing inspiration from the past, where ancient waterways and lakes once thrived, our goal is to craft a self-sustaining, wild landscape. This vision aims to immerse visitors in an authentic experience of true wildness, allowing them to reconnect with nature through an extensive rewilding program that integrates multiple landscape layers. The site is meticulously divided into three distinct open space character areas: the expansive Plateau, the serene Wadi Bed, and the dramatic Wadi Scarp. Each area is carefully defined by its unique physical attributes, creating a tapestry of variety and excitement. Architectural harmony is achieved through consistent elements such as road profiles, signage, and street lighting, ensuring a cohesive and inspiring design. The interplay of diverse vegetation, materials, and forms not only excites but also unifies the broader masterplan, offering a dynamic yet integrated public realm.
